Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero of Kaduna State yesterday said the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has given tremendous support towards maintenance of peace and security within the state and the country.
The governor stated this in an interview with newsmen during the Passing Out Parade and commissioning ceremony of the Direct Short Service Course 21/2012 Cadets of the 325 Ground Training Group at NAF Base on Friday in Kaduna.
The governor said, “We have a good partnership with them and that is one of the reasons we have to participate in their programmes because they have been helping us a lot even with the ground troops that form part of the state’s Operation Yaki as well as in providing air surveillance in the state.”
He congratulated the 144 Flying Officers for successfully undergoing the six months intensive training in the Air Force Training Command.
The Reviewing Officer and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Alex Badeh said the officers will be deployed to crisis-prone areas in the country.
