Airlines Woo Customers With Fare Reduction

Following the increased competition in the domestic airline market, indigenous airlines are coming up with innovative ways to overcome the competition, encourage online booking and woo customers with reduced air fares.

Thus Aero Contractors is offering a promotional fare of N10, 000 for flights on all domestic routes when booked online from May 14, 2013 to May 31, 2013.

This offer according to the airline is in a bid to satisfy, encourage and reward its regular and prospective customers.

Announcing the offer, Aero’s Acting Managing Director, Obaro Ibru , said: “We want our customers to take advantage of these offers and fly to any domestic destination of their choice. At Aero, we believe air travel should be affordable, safe and reliable and we are determined to continue to lead with the best customer friendly e-airline services.”

Aero flies to major domestic destinations including Lagos , Kano , Owerri, Abuja , Uyo, Enugu , Warri, Calabar ,  Benin , Port Harcourt , Sokoto and with plans to open more routes.  Also, Dana Air, in a bid to encourage online booking, has introduced what it calls ‘Book on Hold’ option, which gives the convenience of booking tickets and paying later at designated bank branches across the country as well as using interswitch enabled automated teller machines (ATMs).

Head of Commercial of Dana Air, Mr Obi Mbanuzuo, described the introduction of the ‘book on hold’ option as “a good step forward in our effort to make the process of booking travel more accessible to guests throughout Nigeria.”
